#GiveAllTheThings: Hanky Pancreas.

UPDATE: This contest is closed. Congrats to Brenda!

I would give this to my 12 year old daughter who would wear it to school. She LOVES scarves and this is a great product!

It begins! :) (Wondering what #GiveAllTheThings is? Click here.)

What you can win: One Hanky Wrap (Coral or Charcoal) Insulin Pump Accessory - an ultra soft and comfy wrap that one pump-wieldin' winner will hold dear to their heart (and plastic pancreas!). Valued at US$42!

Made possible by: Jessica Floeh of Hanky Pancreas (hankypancreas.com)

Why you want this: They're one of my favorite ways to wear my insulin pump when I don't have a pocket handy - I've bought two!

This wrap has a special sewn-in pocket made to hold your insulin pump - simply slide the pump in the pocket and place where you normally wear it. Jessica is featured in the December issue of Diabetes Forecast magazine (like the badass she is).

How To Wear:
  • Tie it around your neck and tuck it in your bra
  • Tie it around your waist and tuck it in your pants/pocket
Features:
  • Lightweight high quality rayon lycra
  • Micromesh pocket front for button and touchscreen accessibility
  • Neoprene pocket back for protection and shock absorption
  • Handmade in USA by Jessica Floeh (sew like the wind, Jessica!)
  • Strategic tassel draping for device counterbalance; “pump-lump” camouflage

To enter today's contest: Use the Rafflecopter widget below to enter today's contest. Here's how it will work:

Leave a comment on this blog post telling me which color choice you'd prefer, and where/how you'd wear your wrap if you won! This will earn you two entries.

You may also earn one entry each for a Facebook Like or Twitter follow for Ms. Hanky, which means you can have your name in the hat up to FOUR TIMES!

Rules: This contest ends tonight at midnight CST, and is open only to U.S. addresses. #GiveAllTheThings contests are intended for people with diabetes (or their caregivers), and this one really only makes sense if you wear a tubed insulin pump. Since the Rafflecopter widget requires you to share an email address, I'll be emailing the winner (as well as announcing them through an update on this post) Tuesday morning - you'll need to respond to me by Friday evening (let's say 7:00 pm CST) with your shipping address in order to claim your prize. If I don't hear from you, I'll pick a new winner.

Good luck!

  1. I would LOVE the coral one. Could make a great sarong at the beach too!

  2. I like the coral one, it's not a color I wear often, so I would like the change up! I love scarves, so that is how I would wear it. I've had my eye on one of these for a long time coming!

  3. Um that charcoal one is the best thing ever. Dark grey is my favorite color. I would wear this to work so I can show my patients on pumps how cute diabetes accessories can be! I already wear a scarf every day in this stilly Vermont weather. This would be so wonderful :)

Wait I just read Jess' comment. A sarong at the beach! Effing brilliant. I never know what to do with my pump at the beach!

  4. I forgot about how much I wanted one of these when I discovered them last year!! I'd love the grey :) Adorable, perfect for the season.

  5. I would LOVE the coral one and would wear it around my neck ---- adore scarves!

  6. I'm a gal that wears scarves in the summer to accent tank tops. It's a silly fashion trend from the early 2000s that I haven't given up on. Now, with the fantastic coral one, I would have an even better excuse. Plus - none of my competition clothes for dance have pockets!

  7. I put one of these on my Christmas list! I would love the coral one, and since I love scarves, I would simply wear it as a scarf!

  8. I would wear the coral one as a scarf - so cute, and much easier than pulling my pump out of my bra when I'm trying to explain it to newbies. :)

  9. I love the charcoal! I really don't have too many scarves so adding one that'll also hold my pump is perfect!

  10. love the gray one! ... a marching band mom always needs an extra layer at night :)

  11. What a great idea -- I would imagine my daughter could tuck her cgm receiver in there!

  12. Love the charcoal color! I really could have used one yesterday - wore a tunic top and leggings, had my pump in the waist of the leggings which was fine...at first. By the end of the day my pump was sliding down to my knees. Very awkward!

  13. I would love the charcoal! I'm always wearing scarves in my office because my building doesn't seem to get the concept of heat!

  14. I love the idea of using it as a sarrong at the beach. The coral would be perfect for my upcoming cruise!

  15. LOVE the coral one! I would definitely wear it to teach in.

  16. I would love the grey one and I'd wear it as a scarf to keep my pump from getting too cold during the upcoming New England winter :)

  17. I would love to have the grey one to have a new way to wear my pump!

  18. I would love the gray one to wear to my husband's Christmas party! It would be so much easier than hiding my pump in my dress and be much less awkward when I need to bolus

  19. I love both the colors but, if I have to choose it'd be grey. I'm almost always cold (even in California) so I wear scarves all the time

  20. Grey or coral?! How does one decide? I would say probably the grey. It's lovely. I would probably wear it around my waist. Much better than it slipping down my waist band into no man's land....

  21. The charcoal scarf would be perfect for work! Blend in and hide my pump, which is always tricky in dress clothes! I'd wear it around my neck, it would be a great addition to my blazers and cardigans!!

  22. I'd love the charcoal, I'd definitely wear it as a scarf!

  23. I would love the charcoal and I would definitely try wearing it around my neck. I'm not normally a scarf wearer, but if I can hide my pump, I'll become one!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'd have to go with the charcoal, as it would match more clothes than the coral. It'd be around the waist thing for me most of the time, but I can see it doing double duty as a scarf if I was out and about on a cool day.

  25. Coral! And I'm more than slightly obsessed with scarves. It's kind of a problem...

  26. The coral is so pretty! What a great idea!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I don't wear scarves or a pump, but you're changing my mind! I'd go for the charcoal color.

    ReplyDelete
  32. That charcoal one would match MOST of my wardrobe, so I wouldn't wear it anywhere specific. . .just in my day-to-day!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I would love a coral one--perfect for wearing on cold Idaho days!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Coral for sure and I'd wear it as scarf around my neck. Love it!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I just got onboard the scarf train this fall and this is a great idea! I would wear either but think the charcoal would get more use!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I wear a scarf around my neck almost everyday in the winter! I would wear either color but I think the charcoal would be best. Awesome idea!

    ReplyDelete

  39. I would wear it as a scarf, kinda like a ninja scarf? I love the coral color!

    ReplyDelete
  40. Ohhh! These are so pretty! I love the gray the most but the coral is so pretty too :) I would rock the scarf look, maybe with some boots?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Coral for sure! I have so many skirts without pockets and have been avoiding dresses lately...perhaps it's time to reconsider that!

    ReplyDelete
  42. My daughter would like the charcoal because it goes with everything! She likes wearing scarves around her neck and this would be a cool alternative way to carry her CGM receiver.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Charcoal and I guess I would learn how to wear a scarf correctly. They still kinda scare me!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I would pick the coral one. Generally I like to stick to neutrals, but it's such a fun color and I guess that I would wear it as a scarf.... as in around my neck. Its really fun and awesome and I have been dying to get one of these

  45. Love this I hate having a lump in my bra when I don't have pockets!

    ReplyDelete
  46. What an incredible wrap. I'm amazed! I'd wear it as a scarf. I would love the charcoal one!

  47. I love the Coral scarf!!
Today marks 2 weeks of having my insulin pump! I've been working on trying to find different ways of hiding my pump. It's pretty simple when you have pockets, but I haven't had the chance to figure out ways to carry it when I don't.... I don't have the boobs to hide it in my bra, so I think this would be a great solution!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Charcoal colored for me - I'd wear it around my neck (and would somehow stick my pump wherever it needed to go)

    ReplyDelete
  49. I'd love the coral to add a pop of color to my normally neutral wardrobe and I'd wear it as a scarf most of the time!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I would LOVE the charcoal one I would love to be able to wear with all my tricky outfits such as dresses I can never find a place and end up hiding in my bra uncomfortably! FAB idea love love love!
