#GiveAllTheThings: A Place To Stash Your Stuff.

UPDATE: This contest is now closed. Con to the grats to:

The Alexanders: Just ordered my 5 year old a GGM - this would come in very handy for him to carry the receiver!!!

I can't wait to hear how he likes it! Please email me at textingmypancreas (at) gmail (dot) com with your mailing address, and we'll get one shipped your way. :)

Product: The "Original" SPIbelt! What color you get will be a surprise for both of us, and it fits waist size 25" through 50".

Made possible by: SPIbelt

Why you want this: I own two of these, myself - one is the original version, and one is the double-pouch one I bought at FFL last year - and they're super handy for jamming a CGM receiver, phone, glucose tabs, lip balm and a key (yes, that will all fit in there - the pouches are super stretchy) when I want to go for a walk with my dog. I also wore one when I did a half-marathon - it worked great, and didn't bounce around like I was afraid it might. If you're active and need to carry diabetes crap around with you, this is a nice hands-free way to do it.

To enter today's giveaway contest: Leaving a comment below, tell me how you'd use your SPIbelt! The winner will be selected at 8:00 pm CST, so leave your comment before then! This is open to U.S. and Canadian addresses. Check back on this post to see who the winner is. Good luck!

  3. I would love to wear these to stash the CGM and pump while I hike with my pooch :) Is this open to Canadians? I hope so!

  5. I would love to not have to carry my purse all the time! love to wear it on my walks.

  6. This pouch looks so handy instead of always carrying a purse.

  7. I would wear this for a ton of stuff! It would make all of the outdoor activities that I love, like biking, hiking, running, walking my dog, more easy to manage. Right now I have to carry a back pack or a purse, but this belt would be sweet because I wouldn't have to any more!

  8. I'm a triathlete, and this would be wonderful for shorter runs where I'm not bringing my water belt! I've had problems figuring out an ideal carrier for my cgm, and of course we always have to have quick carbs on us but running shorts and tights don't often come with pockets.

  9. I'd love to use one as I get back into running.

  10. I'd use it when I walk the baby in his stroller...it's nice to have a cgm on your person,& not have to wear something with pockets while doing so.

  17. New year, new pump, new start, ..... I would love to try some new gear!

  18. My pump holder AKA cell-phone pouch finally ripped beyond repair last night, so I've been kickin' it old-school with the hard-plastic Medtronic clip. I was seriously thinking a SPIbelt might solve my problems. It would also come in handy during summertime when I don't wear a jacket and don't have enough pockets for all my crap.

  19. i've been eyeing these for months, i'd love one to tote my "necessities", stuff I never leave the house without (tabs, BG meter, pen, tissues). I could actually buy clothing without pockets if I had one :)

  20. I rarely have pockets at school, so this would come in handy every day!

  22. This would be amazing to use for my runs and walks with the dog. I have tried many other products like fanny packs and they dont work to well this looks like a great product.

  23. Jacob could really use one of these in PE. His tubing has been tugged out twice already.

  24. The only thing more annoying than having a carry a huge bag full of stuff into a show is to carry a dozen things in your pockets into a show, and worrying whether things will fall out or not. Rock on, SPIbelt! (It would also be awesome for the walking and dancing I plan on doing in the New Year.)

  25. SPIbelt's are awesome. I have one of the smaller ones. I use it for my pump when I'm wearing an outfit with no pockets.

  26. This would be so great for when my husband and I take our dog on some really long walks when it's too hot for a jacket with pockets.

  27. I have wanted a SPIbelt for so long now...it's a pain to carry CGM, pump, tabs, ipod, meter, poker, strips while trying to walk/run/bike/dance/move in any way! Love this!! :)

  28. I'd use the awesomeness for when I start riding my trainer down in the basement... Yes I got a trainer for Christmas, now to set it up. But that would make a good place to stash stuff as I ride.

    1. You might want a Bento Box, too...that's where I put things when I'm riding, especially on the trainer (when I don't have to worry about it falling out).

  29. Please don't pick me - just wanted to add my two cents - I love these. We have 5 in various colors and sizes. My daughter uses one when she is wearing a dress or bathing suit (we have animas pumps thus waterproof - the belt does not provide against water damage for pumps that are not waterproof). My son wears his when he plays soccer. My daughter and I both wear them for 5Ks - me for my phone and keys. Her for her meter and glucose. We do hope to get a double pocket one soon so she can carry a meter and her pump in the same belt while running. Best of luck to all and if you don't win consider purchasing one - you won't be sorry.

  30. I think this would be perfect for winter sports like ice skating and xc skiing when even if I have pockets for all my gear, I fear it will freeze out there...

  31. This sees like a big improvement over my current method of shoving everything in my sports bra during a workout...

  32. This would be so awesome for my 7 year old with t1d. She has an Animas pump which she wears usually on a clip on her hip ...but she's beginning to be bothered by it sticking out so much under dresses (clipped onto shorts)and tops. And she has a Dexcom on the way so would be great for her to have a place to keep it on her:).

  33. I spi a diabetes product I could keep my CGMS and my pump in. Hooray

  34. This would be Awesome for hitting Six Flags, you can only bring fanny pack like things on the rides, that would be the perfect size! Also would be cool for 'Just Dancing' and hiking!

  35. I would love this for our family hikes and outdoor activities!!!!!

  37. I would love one of these for my 3 year old daughter who started pumping about 6 months ago. She is so active that we just struggle to not drop the darn thing half the time :(

  38. Bean is always looking for more options to carry around her dexcom receiver. Would be totally cool to have a new SpiBelt to carry her new G4 receiver!

  39. I think I'd follow your lead on using a SPIbelt to walk my evergrowing Great Dane puppy! Don't you just love when your pump crashes to the ground without you attached to it? Ugh, yoga pants-ypu leave me feeling not so zen!

    ReplyDelete
  40. I would use the SPIbelt for LONDON, baby.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I use my spibelt when I load and unload kilns for glass fusing. I put my pump and CGMS receiver behind my back so nothing happens to them!
